Private Walk with Wildlife Tour
A private daytime wildlife experience with your own Nature Guide.
Private Walk with Wildlife tours can be organised between 9am and 4pm any day of the week. Subject to availability.
Ideal for: Families, couples, keen photographers and anyone wanting a more personal wildlife experience.
With your own conservationist Nature Guide, you may spot koalas, kangaroos, emus and other wildlife living freely in a stunning setting overlooking the ocean. Along the path, you'll discover the native plants that make up their habitats, and learn about the ecology of the surrounding bushland and the research protecting the Great Ocean Road's threatened species.
With the guide all to yourselves, you can go at your own pace, linger longer with the animals you love most, and ask as many questions as you like.
Private Dusk Discovery Tour
A private evening wildlife experience with your own Nature Guide, with a light meal with a beer or wine included in our Emu Cafe.
Private Dusk Discovery tours can be organised any day of the week. Subject to availability.
Ideal for: Couples, families, photographers and wildlife lovers.
As the sun sets over the ocean, the Sanctuary comes alive. Begin with a light meal and a glass of wine or a beer in our Emu Cafe, then head out with your own conservationist Nature Guide as potoroos, bandicoots, pademelons and other nocturnal animals begin to wake, emerging for a night of feeding and foraging.
With the guide all to yourselves, you can move quietly at your own pace, giving you the best chance of seeing these shy animals, and ask as many questions as you like. It's a memorable way to end a day on the Great Ocean Road.
Private Rise with Wildlife Tour
A private morning wildlife experience with your own Nature Guide, with breakfast, a juice and tea or coffee included in our Emu Cafe.
Ideal for: Anyone who enjoys a relaxed start to the day in nature.
Begin your morning in the Sanctuary as the day gets underway. With your own conservationist Nature Guide, explore the trails, take in sweeping views across the Southern Ocean, and discover what the animals who call the Sanctuary home might be getting up to. Afterwards, enjoy breakfast, juice and a tea or coffee in our Emu Cafe.
With the guide all to yourselves, you can take your time, pause to watch and listen, and ask as many questions as you like. It’s a peaceful, memorable way to begin a day of exploring the Great Ocean Road.
Private Dawn Discovery Tour
A private dawn wildlife experience with your own Nature Guide, with breakfast, a juice and tea or coffee included in our Emu Cafe.
Ideal for: Bird lovers, photographers, families and all nature appreciators and early risers.
As the sun rises over the Southern Ocean, the Sanctuary's birds wake and the dawn chorus breaks into full song as they begin their day. It's also a chance to catch other animals finishing their night of foraging before they settle in to rest, with your own conservationist Nature Guide helping you listen for and spot them in the early light. Afterwards, enjoy breakfast, juice and a tea or coffee in our Emu Cafe.

Wildlife Wonders is home to koalas, eastern grey kangaroos, emus, swamp wallabies, red-shouldered wallabies, long-nosed potoroos, echidnas, a whole array of native birds and so, so many more. The Sanctuary is surrounded by a predator proof fence and being a sanctuary, the animals live freely. There are no enclosures here. For this reason, we can’t guarantee which animals you will see on your tour but we do know that every tour experience is a completely unique one.

No. At Wildlife Wonders the animals roam freely within the Sanctuary, so for the safety of the animals and their homes, the only way to experience the Sanctuary is one of our guided tours.
Plus by joining a tour with one of our Nature Guides you will learn and likely see so much more!

Yes. Private Tours are arranged by request and need at least 7 days notice. We would love to welcome you, so please get in touch to discuss your preferred date, time and group size.

Wildlife Wonders was built with accessibility in mind. We can tell you there are no steps throughout the entire experience, there are wide doorways and smooth path gradients, but we also understand every individual and every person’s needs are different.
